Mtebe and Pili

We had a great time hosting Mtebe and Pili for five weeks.
We were blessed, and I know many of you were as well. Thanks to all of you who made their visits possible. And of course, many thanks for your delicious food and warm hospitality.
They experienced many *firsts* on their journey:  New York City, dolphins, science museums, decorated bathrooms, warm water, forests, dairy farm, snowballs and cold weather.
They were really happy to have met so many people who have been a part of The Lion of Judah Academy over the years. And we welcome all of you who are joining us for the first time.
We had a nice family Thanksgiving before they left with turkey and favorite foods. They arrived home safely and were very happy to return to their children and WARM weather. Please keep them in your prayers.

Pili did NOT like the
 cold weather!!

Missionaries to LJA

Last summer two women from Germany came to LJA to help for a year. What a blessing!

Kurt Wegner, from California, will be leaving New Year*s Day to be a missionary for one year. He will be teaching math and some computer. We are so happy to have him on our team.  Please keep Kurt in your prayers as he begins his life and ministry at the school.

If you are interested in becoming a short-term or long-term missionary at LJA contact Lynn for more information.

The Kings Academy : Three students caught the vision after Mtebe spoke at their chapel service. They decided to have a football game and also sold 'dress down' tickets to the students. This was a great effort. They raised $1,000 toward the soccer field project. Kids helping kids! Thank you!

Jill : A veteran supporter has launched an effort to help meet our need for a school nurse and supplies to convert a room into a medical space.

As a LJA Representative

...You may help find a sponsor for a needy child. We need your help to give hope and opportunity. Your effort will bring a miracle of change into the life of a child and his/her family. Become involved by speaking out to your church, school, and community; at events, conferences, concerts; share with family or friends.
...You may "head up" a project fundraiser. Choose a project and help raise enough money to start or complete a project.
...You may go out to speak to others about what is happening at The Lion of Judah Academy.
Contact Lynn and she will supply you with pamphlets and information.
We praise God for all He has done and will continue to do. On behalf of The Lion of Judah Academy we pray for your Christmas to be filled with Christ's light. As Mtebe says, "When you are blessed, be a blessing to others."
