The Lion of Judah Academy - Relationships

In less than three years The Lion of Judah Academy has not only grown miraculously, it has become a respected and important part of the community and region, making many contributions and developing significant relationships.

Government - The Academy is fully registered with the Ministry of Education. All of its facilities, programs and operations have been inspected and approved. In addition the board of trustees is registered with the government, and authorized to develop and operate virtually every type of educational facility which is available in Tanzania. The school is registered with the Tanzania Revenue Authority and is exempt from all taxes, customs and import duties.
The Mwanza Regional Commissioner visited the school in the spring of 2003 and summer of 2004, recommending it highly and giving it his full support (even making a personal gift!), something which has already proven to be very valuable in a number of ways. Government officials on virtually every level of from local village leaders to national leaders have become aware of The Lion of Judah Academy and it has received strong support from many of them.

Church - Since The Lion of Judah Academy is a Christian school, and understands part of its principle vision is to strengthen the Church by helping Christian workers, the school has been encouraged to receive strong support from a wide variety of church leaders. Daniel Nungwana, Archbishop of the Africa Inland Church of Tanzania, has appreciated the vision of the school from the beginning. He recently made the following comments to school leaders:

"In the first place, the idea is so profound. I really appreciate and congratulate you...you came up with a wonderful idea.

"The greatest need in the Church is education. And most all our ministers are struggling how to educate their children in these government schools and the private schools.
"One of the struggles is usually school fees. And also, the other crucial one, even more than the school fees, is the moral issue. So such a school will really help our children. Such a school is great because it is Christian-oriented; it is based on the Word of God.
"It will also care for other people. I suggest that you also enroll some of the non-Christian children. It is one way of reaching out.
"A seed that is planted in the minds of these young kids, it will stay there over the years. Somebody has said, 'Give me a child of six years, he also will be mine forever.'*
"I really recommend this school. I appreciate it."
