Few things can impact a church so much as having its pastor, or a group of members, go on a short term mission trip.
Few things can excite a group of youth more than seeing how their lives really can make a difference in the world.
Few things can encourage a lonely or burned out missionary so much as having people from 'back home' visit and show interest in what's happening on the field.
Few things can infuse enthusiasm and excitement into a village so much as having a visitor from the U.S. or somewhere else go to the trouble of coming and, by their mere presence, saying: "you are special and important!"
And that doesn't even take into account the real work and tangible accomplishments which are achieved by individuals and entire work teams on short term mission trips!

At The Lion of Judah Academy and The Lion of Judah Ministries we believe in the power and significance of short term mission trips. These trips have been integrated into our programs for over a decade, and we've had a LOT of EXPERIENCE. We have hosted youth and adults, families and singles, groups from schools and groups from churches. Hundreds of lives have been permanently enriched and renewed.
Teachers have taught...seamstresses have sewed...buildings have been built and painted...nurses have nursed...youth have worked on more projects than can be counted...'techies' have provided invaluable computer experience...and the list goes on and on and on.
But, we must be honest, much of our enthusiasm about short term missions is really selfish: we believe that our strongest and most enthusiastic supporters consistently will be those who have actually visited the school, seen it, helped work on it, met the kids and the teachers.
We believe that once you see and become part of The Lion of Judah Academy you will never be able to "get it out of your system." It will be part of you forever.
