TRUCK NEEDED FOR THE SCHOOL
God definitely knew what He was doing when He provided Hart and Lynn with a Toyota Landcruiser in 1999! Before going to the mission field in 1999, contributors provided a new Toyota Landcruiser Hardtop - one of the most durable, go-anywhere vehicles available anywhere in the world - to the Inlow's. It served them well during their years on the field, and was turned over to The Lion of Judah Academy when they left.
It is not an exaggeration to say that without it, much of the construction that has been accomplished at the school would never have been able to happen. Tons and tons of rocks for foundations...sand for cement...lumber for windows, doors, etc....rebar and angle iron, cement and metal roofing panels...and who knows what else...have been hauled by that vehicle. Well, it still has lots of life left, we believe. But it is nearing seven years of age; the heavy work it has been doing for several years now is taking its toll. And there are still tons and tons of rocks, sand, lumber, steel, and who knows what else, to be hauled. So we have determined that in order to preserve the Landcruiser for the jobs it does best - carrying people in a very difficult and demanding environment - it is important to purchase a cargo truck for the school. The purchase price for the type of vehicle we would need - strong, durable, with several tons of load capacity - is about $18,000. In light of the other financial needs the school has at this time, that's a LOT of money (of course, that's a lot of money no matter how you look at it!). However, without a truck, it will be very difficult - perhaps even impossible - to complete the work set before us. Not only that, it will help ensure the Landcruiser (which can accommodate 14 adults - albeit rather squished together) is around for a long time to come. |
